Anthony Coleman

Tony Coleman, DHA, is Chief Executive Officer of Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health. He joins the CHRMC team from Broadlawns Medical Center where he served as President and CEO from 2021 until 2023.
Tony was born and raised in Southern California and enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving onboard warships in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. After completing two full sea tours, Tony was commissioned as a Naval Officer. While in graduate school, Tony worked in a rural South Carolina hospital where he discovered his passion for eliminating health disparities among vulnerable populations.
Some highlights of his 20-year military career include Medical Administrative Officer onboard USS HARRY S. TRUMAN (CVN 75), Minesweeping Boatswain’s Mate onboard USS PIONEER (MCM 9) and USS ARDENT (MCM 12), earning the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist designation, Surface Warfare Medical Department Officer qualification and the Executive Medicine additional qualifying designator. While in the military, Tony received a Secretary of Defense appointment to serve as a United States Senate Youth Program Military Mentor and served as Treasurer of the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote the advancement and development of African American healthcare leaders and to elevate the quality of healthcare services rendered to minority and underserved communities.
After being honorably discharged, Tony transitioned into the role of Vice President of Operations Support for Kaiser Permanente’s largest and fastest growing service area. In this role, he oversaw multiple departments in two medical centers and partnered with 1,100 Permanente physicians to provide care to over 653,000 covered lives. His leadership was instrumental in the 48-bed build out and expansion of Ontario Medical Center, as well as the construction of a brand new 55,000-square-foot medical office building designed to address growing social health needs and inequities in the high desert area.
In Tony’s previous role as President and CEO at Broadlawns Medical Center he created a 5-year strategic plan; oversaw the completion of several significant projects including the construction and opening of a Medical Office Building, growing volume in key areas such as surgical women services; and led various construction projects across the facility. Tony was also very active in the Iowa community, serving on local boards such as the Des Moines Symphony and Des Moines University.
Tony is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and holds the dual distinction of being an Executive Development Program Fellow and Executive Diversity Scholar. He is also a Marshall Memorial Fellow (MMF) of the German Marshall Fund, a nonprofit organization designed to increase transatlantic cooperation.
Vaughn Williams
Chief Operating Officer
Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health
Vaughn Williams, MHSA is the Chief Operating Officer for Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health. He joins the CHRMC team from UHS’ Las Vegas market where he served as an Associate Administrator since 2021.
As an Associate Administrator in the Las Vegas market, Vaughn worked at both Henderson Hospital and Summerlin Hospital serving on the hospitals’ executive teams and overseeing numerous departments, services and projects. During Vaughn’s tenure, he was integral in launching new clinical programs such as a TAVR program, exceeded budget by 52% in wound care services at Henderson Hospital, grew outpatient therapy services by over 100% year-over-year at Summerlin Medical Center, grew the system nurse float pool by over 400% and was involved in over $250 million in construction projects across the system. In addition, his collaboration involving hospitalists and case management resulted in a reduced length of stay to an average 10% favorable to budget at Summerlin Medical Center.
Prior to UHS, Vaughn was a Director of Operations and Strategic Initiatives where he oversaw various teams responsible for clinical, ancillary and support departments supporting Sutter’s Valley Area. Vaughn started his career at Sutter Health as an Administrative Fellow and Administrator of Support Services at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, a 1,000+ bed three-campus facility serving the Oakland and Berkley market. Prior to Sutter Health, Vaughn had the opportunity to work as a project manager, data analyst and administrative intern in various health systems and organizations such as Trinity Health, Main Line Health, Michigan Medicine, Mount Sinai Health System and The Barger Leadership Institute.
A native of Brooklyn, New York, Vaughn holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin and a master’s degree in Health Services Administration (MHSA) from the University of Michigan. Vaughn is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. He is engaged in several professional organizations including the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE), the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Vaughn has received numerous accolades for his achievements including the POSSE Leadership Scholarship and California Association of Hospital Leaders (CAHL) Young Healthcare Executive of the Year.
Kimberly Russo
Group Vice President, Acute Care Division, DC Region
Kimberly D. Russo, MBA, MS, is the Group Vice President of the Washington, DC Region of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS).
Kim was named Group Vice President of UHS, one of the nation’s largest healthcare management companies, in April 2021. Under her leadership, she established a partnership with the Government of the District of Columbia to open the first new hospital in DC in more than two decades. The new hospital will bring vital healthcare services to an underserved region.
With more than 20 years of clinical and operational healthcare experience, Kim has received numerous accolades for her impact on healthcare in the Washington, DC community. Most recently, in 2022 she received the American Hospital Association (AHA) Grassroots Advocacy Champion, in 2020 she was named in the 100 Academic Medical Center CEOs to Know by Becker’s Hospital Review, and she was named one of Washingtonian Magazine’s Most Powerful Women in 2019, 2021 and 2023. In addition, she was recognized as one of The Washington Business Journal’s 2016 “Playmakers” Power 100 as a business leader who made an impact on the DC area in 2016. Furthermore, in 2010, she was also an honoree of The Washington Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business” and “Up and Comer Under 40” honoree by Modern Healthcare and Becker’s Hospital Review.

She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2009), a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Rush University in Chicago, Illinois (1996), and a Bachelor of Science in Speech- Language Pathology and Audiology from Illinois State University (1993).
Kim and her husband Tony are parents to two children, Gabrielle and Marty, and two labradoodles.
